Another Day, Another Daikon

Starting with a dream about a wet piece of paper folded in my wallet, and a new alarm that was incredibly difficult to turn off at 6:00am, due to some internal inertial switch, which forced its user to rock the thing back 90degrees to trigger an off sequence, I was greeted with a hot cup of french pressed coffee, just before I bleary-eyedly ventured out into the heat and humility to remove what looked like a house plant, “could it be a gift from a kindly neighbor?” that turned out to be a fallen branch of leaves, from the flaking hood of my old truck...

Get The Green Smoothie

4 leaves of Red Kale
3-4 sprigs fresh mint
2-3 fresh pineapple rings
1 (single serving container) vanilla/plain whole soy yogurt
2 Tblspn flaxseed
2-1/2 Tblspn flax oil
½ tspn. cinnamon

Add to blender; fill 1/3 full with 3:1 coconut water to organic lemonade, respectively.

Blend to desired consistency; makes about 3 servings, serve with drinking straw.

Lunch turned into a new adventure; with a full house, we feasted on a smorgasbord which consisted of the following: rice & lentils with artichoke hearts. Baby bella, edamame, sugar pea, and onion stir fry. Oregano tempeh with julienned red onions. Quinoa with vegan boullion. & Tori's famous guacamole with habanero from the porch; muy calientE!

After an afternoon of fiddling with ones and zeros, tex-mex was the choice. Can you have tex-mex on vegan day? Yes, of course: black bean "boat," 86 the sour cream, 86 the cheese; add avacado. Be sure they don't cook with lard; most use vegetable oil these days.

Will the dream continue? What about the bees that turned into a sandstorm...
